I rounded up some of my favorite December holiday/winter picture books for you. I’m sharing many of these titles during library story times, but you might also enjoy them in your classrooms or with your own kiddos.
Wondering what to get your co-workers this holiday season? Or maybe even a little gift for yourself? I put together a Teacher gift guide of some of my favorite things that I loved getting over the years.
According to the National Congress of American Indians, “November is Native American Heritage Month, or as it is commonly referred to, American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month. The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people.”
Here are some books you can add to your classroom library to make sure all students and all voices are represented in your classroom book selections.
Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 – October 15. According to hispanicheritagemonth.gov, “National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries.”
I made this illustration to highlight Hispanic characters, cultures, and/or authors. My hope is that maybe you find a new book to add to your classroom or home library.
